Whether you need a Broadway show, a large scale touring musical production with Broadway caliber sets, costumes, lights and talent, an 8 minute featured dance performance at an elegant gala, or a 1/2 hour scripted corporate presentation, Allicat Productions will exceed your expectations. Allicat Productions was an associate producer of Xanadu - a four time Tony nominated new musical that played at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway. Allicat also produced an impressive tour of the smash musical Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, which played four 1,800 - 3,000 seat theatres in California and Arizona. With many of the sets, costumes and props used by the original national tour, Buddy was a huge success and exceeded projected ticket sales. Buddy was presented by Theatre League. Allicat Productions produced the pre-show event for Camelot, starring Jeremy Irons, at The Hollywood Bowl. The event included 80 + performers, including sword-fighters, jugglers, magicians, harp players, glass walkers, medieval singers and cartoon sketchers! 

Allicat produced Swinging with the Stars - a live, scripted show at the Anaheim Marriott with the top stars of the West Coast Swing world. www.swinginwiththestars.com. Allicat also produced and Allison directed and wrote 4 episodes of a webseries about lindy hop and west coast swing. 

Allison is an accomplished director who works on straight plays, musicals and industrials. Besides being a talented and creative director, Allison is also a prompt and prepared professional who take great pride in her work (and her alliteration). Her acting experience at UCLA, at Playhouse West with Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum, and in countless stage, film and TV productions have prepared her to communicate well with performers. She is a thoughtful, considerate and imaginative director who delivers shows that are visually interesting and emotionally truthful.  Allison's years of experience allow her to create positive, comfortable and focused rehearsals. Allison's producing experience allows her to fully understand the needs of her producers.

Allison has focused on directing & choreographing new work, including a reading of Gilbert and Sullivan on Wall Street at The Colonyand At Home in Mitford and  Houdini Among the Spiritualists at ANMT. Allison received fantastic reviews for her hard work as director on ICT's Around the World in 80 Days, which was the LA Times Critic's Choice, and as director/choreographer of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. (see my rave and reviews page) Allison's production of Smokey Joe's Cafe at the Curtis Theatre in Brea was so well received that she was invited to direct and choreograph it again, in Georgia. Her production of SJC at the 700 seat Springer Opera House in Georgia was a huge success, and she was invited back to direct and choreograph their international tour of Rogers and Hammerstein's Some Enchanted Evening. Allison assisted Gordon Hunt with Camelot, starring Jeremy Irons, James Barbour, and Tony-award wining actors Melissa Errico and Paxton Whitehead. She also was chosen to be Kathleen Marshall's observer on Applause at City Center Encores! starring Christine Ebersole, Michael Parks, and Chip Zien. Allison received glowing reviews when she directed and choreographed The Pajama Game. She was honored to have the opportunity to work with Mr. John Raitt - a Broadway legend, who originated the lead role in The Pajama Game on Broadway and in the movie with Doris Day. Mr. Raitt made guest appearances in 20 performances of Allison's production.  In one week, he sang at The Tony Awards, performed at Carnegie Hall, and then appeared in Allison's production of The Pajama Game! Allison is a professional and creative choreographer who is thoroughly experienced with many different styles of dance. She began her training with ballet and jazz, and now receives glowing reviews for her work in TV, film, commericals, industrials, coporate events, videos and musical theatre.  She is an expert in swing, salsa, tango and many ballroom styles. Allison is known for her amazing aerials and lifts, as well as for her versatility and patience. She is extremely experienced with choreographing for performers of all levels ranging from Broadway professionals (she was the assistant choreographer for Xanadu on Broadway), actors with no dance training, and everyone inbetween.Allison has received recognition for her work on several shows:

Allison has over 125 hours of study with the top three (well, the ONLY three) companies that offer this training. She has taken workshops in Baltimore, Toronto, and  Raleigh, NC. Most recently, she studied with Ita O'Brien in London in Ita's first 8 day workshop. 

After earning her B.A. from UCLA's theatre department (Magna Cum Laude), Allison continued to study her craft for many years with Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum. She advanced to the highest level that the school offers, and only left the Playhouse because she was too busy working! She has performed in feature films, TV series, commercials, live theatre and industrials. 

Allison appeared as Catherine (lead) in Proof at the 750 seat Springer Opera House in Georgia. Before that she appeared in lead roles in three back-to-back plays at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre.Click here to read a review. Favorite roles include Florence in The Odd Couple (the female version, obviously), and Marion in On Tidy Endings . Oh, don't forget Allison's fantastic role in The Ape, which had it's world premiere at the LA Film Festival and received distribution. The film was produced by, co-written by, and stars James Franco (Golden Globe for playing James Dean in The James Dean StorySpiderman, lead in TV series Freaks & Geeks.)

Allison has an extensive performance resume (Click HERE for credits) She became so in demand as a performer, that she began her own dance group. The Allicats (swing, waltz, 60's style, disco and more) and Los Alligatos (salsa, tango, cha-cha), consist of the best partner-dancers in the country. Decked out in stylish vintage Swing Costumes, sexy Salsa Attire, or other appropriate wardrobe, the dancers are especially known for their flashy, crowd-wowing aerials. 

Dancers in these troops have performed in top commercials, music videos, fashion shows, charity galas and more. The Allicats were flown to Reno to perform along with the famous band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at a gala hosted by Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys). Allison Bibicoff, Company Director and Choreographer, has an extensive resume, including performing for President Clinton, in the national tour of the Tony-nominated Broadway musical Swing!, in front of 18,000 people at The Hollywood Bowl, and for our troops in Bosnia. 

Allison is an accomplished host, with experience in many different fields. She was the host, as well as a segment producer and writer for the magazine-style show Anaheim Today -  a monthly magazine-style TV show, which aired twice a day, five days a week in Anaheim, informing Anaheimians about new and exciting developments in their town. Allison has delivered long, technical presentations both with and without her ear prompter. She has teleprompter experience, and her positive and outgoing personality has made her a pro at interacting and improvising with audiences large and small. Allison's range spans from the professional businesswoman to mom to sexy salsa dancer! 

Allison always enjoys print work, and has seen her image in magazines, newspapers, and more. She grew up hearing her parents tell her to "wipe that look off your face," but photographers love her expresiveness. She is most in demand for her kooky expressions, and to portray an upscale businesswoman. She also does leg and hand modeling. 

Allison has been a dance instructor for over 20 years. In high school she began teaching jazz dance, and she currently teaches swing, salsa, Argentine Tango and waltz. She also coaches singers who want to move better. Allison is a patient instructor, with experience teaching both professionals and those with "two left feet." She has taught at many of the TOP clubs in Los Angeles, including The Derby - the heart of the swing resurgence. She has also taught at The Coconut Club - Merv Griffin's elegance nightclub located in Beverly Hills, and at The Rumba Room - located in the heart of Universal Citywalk. She teaches private lessons for one person, couples, small groups, and large galas. Her lessons and performances have provided entertainment for company holiday parties, charity galas, weddings, law firm summer associate events, corporate recruiting mixers and more. Allison and her talented dance partners make you and your guests feel comfortable to learn and have fun!
